Owen story
I was out shopping the other night and honestly I really wasn't paying attention to Owen. I mean I knew where he was at all times, but he was doing his own thing and I was doing my own thing trying to beat the clock before the store closed. Out of the blue I heard him say, "Why don't you look pretty today." As I looked around I had no idea who he was talking to so I said "Owen who are you talking to?" His response was "This lady without a head." Gotta love him!!

Who knew.....
That Owen was our little worry wart?.......Kris and Uncle Jim said he is a worry wart just like his nana. When I told my mom she said, "um no dear, he is just like his momma!"
So we are getting ready to go tubing...a ton of fun for a four year old, right? Well we got about 2o questions wanting to know exactly how everything would go.
Some of my favorite concerns were:
1.) "where is my car seat going to go? If we put it in daddy's truck and go on the river, how am I going to get my car seat back?"
2.) "what if I need a tootsie roll?." Yes he was very concerned that he would need to eat a tootsie roll on the river.
3.) Last and favorite... he was literally crying when he said this because he was sooooo concerned.....wait for it.......
"what if I need to poop?"
Yep, that's our boy! Love us some Owen
Did you know that Paris, Mi is right on the Muskegon River?
Sure is and again was only about a two minute walk from our campsite. It was actually a cool little county park.
I love this picture of Kris and Owen....I just wish I was closer so I knew what Owen was saying, but by the looks of his hand, he is definitely telling Kris some pretty great stuff.

Yes there were ducks and an Eiffel tower in Paris too....
Paris Park Fish Hatchery
Watch the progression of these pictures:
1.) Owen feeds the fish at the fish hatchery. What a cool experience. There were hundreds of fish in this section and though it was cool, they were kind of creepy at the same time....I'm not gonna lie about it! 2.) With the help of Kris and Dirty Jim, Owen gets a little bit gutsy and goes along with his father's and uncle's request to try to "touch" the fish. Owen didn't think twice about this and put his hand in the water.

Grand Haven
We went into Grand Haven a couple of times while we were at PJ Hoffmaster. Grand Haven is such a pretty down and they have the cutest shops! It is a fun, clean city!
Here is Wy man on the way home from Grand Haven. Surprisingly he mustered up the energy for one last smile.....he was exhausted! Here is Owen looking at one of the art displays they had on the main strip. He is pointing to the orange pop can. Orange pop is his favorite!

PJ Hoffmaster July 2011
We had an amazing week at PJ Hoffmaster state park in Muskegon. The weather was perfect. Sunny and hot every day! My sister came up for the day and was able to capture these great pictures of our family.
Here is Wyatt posing my his name that I drew in the sand. This was at the end of the day. Wyatt was cold and shivering so we bundled him all up and all that was left sticking out of the towel were his sweet little cheeks.....so of course we had to kiss them!
