Moving

Well we are officially homeless.....we closed on our home of almost 8 years today.

It is very bittersweet. We have such great memories in this house....we brought both of our babies home to this house where they have been comforted and nurtured and have felt safe. It truly has been our home.

But I keep telling myself that wherever we end up will be home because as long as my boys (all three of them) are with me, then that's where my heart will always call home.




We have a potential house lined up but won't know more until after an inspection, etc. it will be a busy few months for us and I hope not to make a move any time again in the near future, especially during the coldest winter in years.....

Aunt Julie took Owen skiing tonight. His first time on the slopes was last year so this is only his second time out. He absolutely LOVES skiing. We just got him his very own pair of skis and boots so he is all set to go whenever he wants!!

We watched him for a little bit and he did so good!!



But he did have a few falls which is part of the learning process.


And he went on the chairlift. I can't believe he wasn't scared. These things don't even have any lap bars for protection. Yikes!!!





And of course he finished off his night with some hot chocolate!!



He is sooo spoiled by aunt Julie. I wish I could reciprocate her generosity to my boys!!

Happy New Year

Well I realize that I am a month late but better late than never, right?!

We have been so crazy busy lately that it just doesn't seem like a whole month has gone by already. We have been loving all of the snow days and kris even enjoyed a day home with us one of the days. We've been spending a lot of time doing this.....



And when the weather has been above freezing we have been doing some of this...


And this....


And of course you can't forget to cuddle up on the couch with some homemade popcorn and watch a movie.


This was the first big snow of the year. I think we got over 13 inches when it was all over with. It was crazy cool!!


And we have been busy gutting our house of all of the junk that we no longer need so that when it comes time to move it will be less work for us. We are moving along smoothly in the process. Appraisal passed as well as the inspection. Just waiting for a closing date. Please be praying that we will find a house that is just perfect for us in this next part of our lives.
