Am I drunk??

I just read over my last post and realized that most of it didn't make much sense....but i am too tired to change any of it now so it will have to do! I blame it on my pain as I am not taking any pain medication for my foot and also for the lack of sleep I am able to get as I am just not comfortable no matter how I move.......thanks for your understanding!! :o)

7 months pregnant with a broken foot.....

So I am ecstatic to announce that I have officially entered the third trimester and am SEVEN months pregnant. Baby Wyatt is still as active as ever and gives me some pretty good kicks and punches, mostly on my bladder, which in turn makes for very frequent bathroom runs throughout the day and night.

This past Thursday I ventured out to get the mail and no more then a couple of steps away from the porch I managed to turn my ankle and falling to the ground. Needless to say I was alone and stubborn as usual so just thought that it was a sprain (if that) and continued to walk down the driveway, got the mail and returned back to the house when I called Kris and told him what happened. Thankfully Owen was at Grammy's for the day so wasn't home with me in my few hours of pain.

Since I fell I called my OB who directed me to the Labor and Delivery unit at the hospital to be monitored for 4+ hours. I knew that my foot was the most serious of my fall, but my OB wanted to be safe then sorry.

I met Kris at the hospital and we were in Labor and Delivery where they did two ultrasounds and monitored contractions and baby's heartbeat for about 2 hours. The on-call OB from my office came in and agreed that my foot looked pretty bad and said that since the baby looked GREAT that I could go down to the ER for an x-ray.

We headed down to the ER and they were super busy but got me back within five minutes (L&D kept me in the hospital gown and left my bracelet on so that they would get me in faster and it worked.) The nurse in triage was super nice and paged the ER doc who came to the Triage room and looked at my foot and told me it was broken by looking at it.

The next day we went to a foot specialist who confirmed the left foot break by x-ray and they can't cast it since risk for blood clots is higher while pregnant. So they wrapped it with a medicated wrap and gave me a pretty sweet shoe cast. I will be fitted next week for a boot cast since the swell has to go down prior to them doing anything.

So all in all it has been an interesting few days. I got a handicap pass as I am not supposed to walk on my foot. The crutches are hurting my hands and armpits and my stomach (making it really crampy to walk). thankfully the doc said it should be healed by the time Wyatt arrives.

That is it for updates for this week.....more next week as I have two OB appointments and a follow up appointment with the foot doctor. Ahhhhh....it's always something however God continues to bless my little family and myself so i can't complain! Life is good!

Sick Owen

A couple of weeks ago Owen was very sick. He started off with a pretty nasy cough that turned into an ear infection, upper respiratory infection and an eye infection. He was on three different medications and finally after about a week and a half of being miserable he started to feel better. He is pretty much back to his normal self.....this is the sickest he has been since he was a little baby.

A trip down memory lane....

While cleaning/organizing today I found this index card from the day Owen was born. What a special memory it is! Also while cleaning/organizing I found all of our previous Christmas card photos that we sent out to family and friends. The first one is from this past year, 2009.
This one was taken in 2008,

This one was taken in 2007, look at how little Owen was.

We are looking forward to this Christmas 2010, when God willing we will be able to add our newest addition to our photo, Wyatt Daniel!

Peri Update 24 weeks 2 days...

Went to see my Peri today and got GREAT news. The tech couldn't find my SCH's that as of my last scan were 6x2 and 8x2. They called me back in the room to meet with the doctor and we waited and waited. Then the tech came back in and said that she wanted to scan me again. Went back in where they found a "pocket of fluid" above my uterus that the doctor thinks may have been one of my SCH's but however now is just a 6cm pocket of fluid.
So I guess I am a graduate which is great but the pocket of fluid area still concerns me. He feels that this too will reabsorb with time and released me from his care. He did write me a note to continue working from home until 6-8 weeks after the baby is born.
Wyatt was measuring 25 weeks 1 day and I am 24 weeks 2 days so right around a week ahead of schedule and he weighed in today at 1 lb 9 oz.
I am extremely excited to say that I am so blessed and God continues to answer prayer.
He is keeping me off work (at the office) due to the fact that I am still very weak and don't have much strength and he isn't sure at this point when I will feel better.
Also- though my chances of placental abruption and PROM (premature rupture of membranes) decrease significantly there is still a chance of both at this point.
Thanks for all of your prayers!!
