Kris decorated eggs with the boys today. They were very into it this year.

Carter update

We visited our good friends tonight and got to spend some time with carter. He is losing his speech quickly and really has no use of the right side of his body. We so enjoyed our time together though! Our friends are so strong and carter is such a brave little guy. You can follow his story here: give forward.com and type in carter jones in the search bar.

We took him a happy meal and a milkshake and he ate most of it right up. Please continue to pray for sweet carter. He truly needs a miracle. He has started his chemo and radiation and will have them five days per week for six weeks.

Please Pray!!

Please pray for this family. The little guy (in the orange coat) who just turned 5 on Valentine's Day was just diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. The tumor is located on his brain stem and is very aggressive. It is cancer. His name is Carter. He needs a miracle right now..... so if I have any blog stalkers out there please be praying like crazy for him! Thank you!

Hoedown fun!

Owen had a hoedown at his school tonight. It was super fun!! They had several classrooms set up with different activities and the lassoing room was a huge hit.


Owen lassoed this horse on his first try. We may have a real cowboy on our hands!!

Serious cuteness!!

We had a good night tonight. Just the three of us. The boys had a nice bath and we read lots of books and they went right to bed without any issues. I even gave myself a mental pat on the back thinking how great the whole bed time process was tonight.....and then I heard it.....giggles...lots of them. So I headed upstairs, preparing to put my best mean face on and scold them for not being in their own beds, but instead I find this! The sweetest thing ever and it melted my heart!! Owen reading to Wyatt and being so goofy about it that wy is just literally cracking up at everything Owen says!

So I let them be....these are bonding times. Moments like these I shouldn't ruin just because of a clock. They will eventually fall asleep and they will be fine tomorrow. I couldn't ruin this moment for them.

I'm soaking it all in tonight. Smiling as I write this, knowing that my boys love each other and feeling so grateful and beyond blessed to have these two boys who are mine, a gift to me!!


The best gift anyone could ever receive. Enjoy these moments when you can! They define us!
