The leak in the kitchen went down the basement and ruined most all of their toys in their playroom. We ended up having to total loss all of their Legos which meant that they got new ones. Once we were back in the house I let them pick out one big Lego set each. This kept them busy for almost 5 hours....and quiet while kris and I works on another project.

Wyatt the smartie
Wyatt had a spelling bee at school and he placed third in his class. He was upset because he really wanted to study for the spelling bee but given our recent circumstances we were working on house projects that consumed most of our time. We are so proud of him!!!
Kris got a new smoker
Kris loves cooking and recently got a new smoker. He's enjoyed making different things in it. Last week we made pizza in it....yum!!!
House update
We've undergone quite the renovation the past few months. It was definitely a learning experience for us and we hope to never have to go through this again. With that being said I think that it was a blessing is disguise and we now have the home that we dreamed of having since we moved in.
These were the before pictures of the kitchen, post flood.
Our construction company had a kitchen company come out but they determined they didn't make the same style doors any longer. And since we had so much moisture in the house and then the heat and fans to dry everything out, many of the doors were warped.
During the short time that I had to pick everything out, this was the closest picture that I found online that I used as my inspiration picture.
Kris liked it okay so I was good to go with my vision. Putting it on paper was harder than I was expecting. It was such an emotional and stressful process. Most people would be excited to pick out a new kitchen and I was, but only having two days to do it was more than I could handle. It caused a lot of anxiety and it wasn't fun at all. So thankful it's over now!
Here's what we ended up with. We are in love with it. There were many bumps and it was a very long road but we are finally enjoying it now.
It's been a while
We have been crazy busy around here. We were displaced from our house for over 5 weeks and were in a hotel. Between hotel life, working on the house ourselves and contractors at the house most days, the last few months have been a whirlwind. We are SO happy to be back home though and are loving our new house :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Our leak
We came home to a water leak. It was late and we were tired and I was helping kris back the camper in the driveway when Owen came running out saying that he heard water and that the mat in front of the sink was soaked. I continued to help kris and listen to Owen and when we came inside we realized the severity of the leak. We had a leak for who knows how long under our kitchen sink to the basement. The demo team is here now and I will blog the process. I for sure know we are getting new carpet in the living room.
Vacation day #6
Saturday was our last day, we tried to stay another day but the campground was full. They were nice enough to offer us to park our camper in their storage lot for a few extra hours so we could go to the beach.
It was another absolutely perfect day!! So blessed to have had such awesome weather all week long.
The water was a good temp. A little cold but fine once you waded around a bit. We were mostly on a big sand bar which was really cool. I didn't have to worry about the boys so much.
My sweet boy was begging to go run on a dune so naturally we did.
Me and my boy who is missing his first tooth. He kept saying momma look the whole week!!
Our view from on top of the dune. Beautiful!
Drying off before we headed out.
I can't believe what an incredible week we had. It was truly so relaxing, enjoyable and fun.
