Snow day!!

We went to bed last night hoping for a snow day. Sure enough we ended up with a snow day. The best part of our day was that kris' college was cancelled too so we all enjoyed a pretty awesome day together of laying low.
We ventured outside for a bit and had a blast.

Valentines

I have been showing Owen all kinds of valentine ideas lately. These won hands down. So since we had a snow day today we decided to work on them.


I think they turned out pretty darned cute. The middle row is what the back of the super hero suckers look like. I added an extra hole punch on the bottom of the cape to help give them a little more support. All in all a pretty fun project.


Owen signed all of them and is so excited to give them to his classmates next week. Thankfully he has a tiny class. Only 15 students including him. Thanks to Pinterest for the idea.

Milk Weeds

Owen didn't have school today so kris got the boys up and fed, so that I could sleep in a little bit. I have been exhausted lately so I'm so appreciative of any extra sleep I can get.

Anyway I decided to jump in the shower before heading downstairs for the day when Owen greeted me in the bathroom and said so matter of factly as he was holding a half eaten butterfinger in his hand.... "Wyatt's been eating your "milk weeds" all morning! He's had at least three so far!"

I love how he called them "milk weeds". I may have to start calling them that from now on!!!

The boys

I bought the boys some activity books and cards today. Owen and I are playing a game in his book and Wyatt really wants to get involved. So he found an extra marker and has been trying to draw on the table thus I took the marker away from him and gave him his set of cards to play with when he said in a huff "I don't want to play with my cards, my cards are lame!"

Wyatt

Wyatt was just climbing on the ottoman to get to the top shelf of our entertainment center. When I asked him what he was doing he responded "you put my batman on that shelf and I can't reach it. Don't do that again momma, do you understand?!"

Oh man it's going to be a long day. Wyatt's getting some sass now too just like Owen!

Story time.

My mom has been taking Wyatt to the library every Tuesday for story time. The first week he looked out of the window for the entire hour and would seldom turn his head to see what the story was about. Then last week he started off looking out of the window again and then ended up like this. Still not sitting nicely in nana's lap like all of the other children in this picture with their respective parents...but I guess wy is wy and his stubbornness is already shining through at an early age.
