Happy Easter!

What a nice day we had today. Easter is the only day where we spend it with both families so it makes for a bit of a crazy exhausting day for us....but worth it. The boys had 3 egg hunts today. Talk about a lot of eggs!! They also received 3 Easter baskets. It felt like Christmas with all of the stuff I lugged in the house tonight.

Cute Owen story

I asked Owen to take some boxes outside and put them by the trash. He was outside for a little while and I didn't think much of it because it was a beautiful day. When he finally came back in he said that he also checked the mailbox but there was none. I said "oh, you went all the way to the mailbox? So that's what took you so long." He just kind of blew me off.

Well after I put the boys to bed I started cleaning the kitchen and happened to look out of the front window when I noticed that our trash can was by the street with the boxes placed next to it. I did a double take because I remembered that our trash day isn't until Thursday. Owen took the trash out 5 days early.

When kris came home tonight he asked me why I took the trash out so I had to explain what Owen did. We had a good laugh about it and I told him I wondered if we will throw any of our neighbors off.....After all, Monday is April fools day!!!

He is such a goof, but a very helpful goof!!

Decorating eggs

Kris decorated eggs with the boys today. They were very into it this year.

Here is Owen with his golden egg. He was so thrilled with the color, his new favorite color is gold.

Carter update

We visited our good friends tonight and got to spend some time with carter. He is losing his speech quickly and really has no use of the right side of his body. We so enjoyed our time together though! Our friends are so strong and carter is such a brave little guy. You can follow his story here: give forward.com and type in carter jones in the search bar.

We took him a happy meal and a milkshake and he ate most of it right up. Please continue to pray for sweet carter. He truly needs a miracle. He has started his chemo and radiation and will have them five days per week for six weeks.
