It happened....Owen lost his FIRST tooth

I got an email today from Owen's teacher titled "IT HAPPENED". I knew exactly what that meant and I was so happy for my boy. He finally lost his first tooth, for a minute I was so bummed because I wasn't able to share this first experience with him, but I was so thankful to his teacher for capturing this special moment for us.

He said he was reading quietly and was wiggling his tooth when he tugged on it a little and it came out, then he yelled, "my tooth came out, I pulled it and it came out!" He said all of the class came running over and wanted to hold it (gag) and wanted to see his new smile. And then he said that his teacher was taking a lot of pictures.

This is the picture that she sent me.

And my mom was so excited to that she took Owen out for a frozen yogurt and gave him a little present. He was thrilled.

So Owen lost his first tooth in first grade. That will be easy enough for me to remember!!!

I'm so happy for him!!

Wy the trouble maker

Today I took the boys out after school to pick out an end of the year gift for Owen's teacher. This adorable store opened up just a few months ago and I thought it would be the perfect place to find something for her.

Within five seconds of walking in I heard a loud crash.....when I turned to see what happened I saw Wyatt standing under the HUGE poster that he had just pulled down.

The poster was the same size as the one in this picture (to the left of the pink door). The one he pulled down was hanging on the right side of the pink door.

It was awesome!

Owen's loose tooth

Owen has never lost a tooth....yet! He keeps asking me when he will start losing his teeth. Some of his classmates lost teeth in preschool or in early kindergarten but not Owen. And he is so excited to lose his first tooth. So excited!

A little over a month ago he told me that his front tooth was loose. I didn't know how long it would take to lose it but have been so excited to be on this journey with him.

I wanted to document this journey with him. Check this out.....

It looks so ready to come out except for it obviously isn't. He wants it gone soooo badly!

Here's another pic of his tooth that is pretty much dangling by a string!

We are thinking this week is the week! Will keep you posted!

Oh and by the way, according to O, back teeth are going for about $10 and front teeth are going for about $4.99, also if you're really lucky the tooth fairy will leave a toy or an extra surprise under your pillow! Good to know, good to know!!!

Funny wy story

This boy is very sensitive and he hates to be embarrassed. Today I noticed him from a distance with a pouty look on his face. (I zoomed to get this picture)

When he came back to the camper he wouldn't come to me as we were next door with our friends. So after a few tries to get him to come to me and him refusing I walked over to him and sat down next to him. When I asked him what was wrong he kept saying nothing in a grumpy tone.

When I was finally able to get what was bothering him out of him, I almost laughed out loud....I probably would have if he weren't so upset over it. Ready for it?

The reason he was so worked up was and this is word for word.......

"I don't like it when all of the girls smile at me!"

First family camping trip with 2014

We took our first family camping trip of the year this weekend and had so much fun. We like a lot of campgrounds for a lot of different reasons. This campground we like because of all the activities we can do with the boys.

Our good friends came with us on this trip. We had a blast.

The weather was perfect for bumper boats.

Wyatt didn't really like getting wet.

The boys went on them a few times.

Cute wy!

Saying cheese!

My good looker

My boys.....love you both!

Owen and Landon were buddies this weekend.

Wyatt relaxing while Owen went down the big water slides.

Owen relaxing at the pool.

Me and my loves.

Owen coming out of the slowest slide EVER! It was painful it was so slow.

He liked the yellow one much better. He also went on the toilet bowl water slide but he hated it. Said it was "horrible"! He came out crying and the lifeguard had to swim in to get him.

And we had lots of yummy ice cream!!

And let the boys rent these bikes. Wy was a natural.

So was Owen

They tried this bike too but it was SUPER hard to peddle.

All in all it was perfect weekend! Can't wait to do it again!

10 years

Dear Kris,

My love letter to you...

Today around this time 10 years ago I was ready to walk down the aisle with some butterflies in my stomach. About to marry the love of my life, the one who completes me, my best friend. In so many ways it seems like we have been married for so much longer than 10 years....in a good way of course!

I love you for so many reasons. It sounds cliche but I just can't list all of them. And sometimes there are no words to explain how great of a husband you truly are. Below are just a few of what comes to mind as I write this post.

You are avery hard worker for our family and I am so proud of you and all that you do and for putting us first.

There isn't a day that goes by without you telling me, usually numerous times, how much you love me.

You will do anything that makes me happy....including taking pictures at events when you would rather not be anywhere near a camera.

Always kissing me first thing in the morning, when you get home from work and again before bed......

For being able to pretty much complete each others sentences and know what each look is for without having to say anything.

For always letting me sit on your lap and share your seat.

For the way you still look at me....even after 10 years, I know that this look is genuine and I'm thankful that I get to experience this awesome feeling!

For being such a caring husband.

For always putting me first.

For always being equally as excited about taking trips with me.

For always telling me that I'm beautiful and how you are the luckiest man alive.

For loving my family as your own.

For being smart and funny. A must have combo!

For having no fear and always protecting me.

For being you! Everything I could ever want!

So lucky.....so blessed. I love you and thank you for everything!

Owen

Last week Owen had buddy day at school. He and a friend could dress alike. His friend E and him dressed like this....it was cute!

Also last week o had success night at school where he could show off all of his hard work throughout the year. We rushed from swimming and headed to the school where we met daddy.

It was nice that daddy was able to be there. Owen loved being able to show daddy all that he had done.
