Vacation day #5

Friday some more people joined us camping and our neighbors bought the boys hot wheels for the campgrounds hot wheel competition. There were three events divided into age groups and Wyatt won all three of his races. He

He ended up with $9 to spend at the campground store. He took the other kids who were there and gave them each a poncho dollar to spend. Sweet boy!!

Vacation day #4

Thursday was a lazy day. We swam in the indoor pool, it was still gorgeous outside but I didn't feel like sun screening them up again.

We shopped downtown a little bit and took some cool pictures.

And Owen fished at night time. Our neighbors met us camping and brought Owen a fishing pole.

Another great day!!

Vacation day #3

Wednesday we swam a little bit more at the campground pool and then hit the road to ludington.

We walked out to the light house which was a half mile walk.

It was another beautiful day.

Owen was checking out this barge for a while.

Climbing up the lighthouse ladder.

Another ice cream night!

We checked out the SS Badger and watched it leave port for Wisconsin.

The boys really enjoyed it! They wanted to go back to watch it leave again.....

The campground

We stayed at indigo bluffs in empire. It was a pretty good location for everything that we wanted to do.

We stayed on the resort side of the campground which made us feel very fancy.

There was a little patio that Wyatt wanted to eat dinner at so badly so we ate dinner Tuesday night on it. It was a beautiful dinner spot.

Owen was checking out the frogs in the pond.

We will definitely be going back to this campground. The boys swam in the pool every single day!!

Vacation day #2

We had an amazing day two on vacation.

We started with about an hour drive north to north port and we are so glad that we took the time to go here. It was truly amazing!

It certainly helps that we had another amazing, not one cloud in the sky day.

We were checking out some pretty major boats.
The boys had some much fun and so did we....I get giddy thinking about how cool north port was. And not terribly touristy yet. Just a beautiful little town.

Kris and wy man
Next up we headed down south a bit and stopped in Leland. A little fishing village that was so cool.
It's so small but we just needed a few hours, which with two small children is all you need.
Our lunch spot was perfect! It was just what I had envisioned while planning the trip. The food wasn't great and definitely overpriced, but still perfect.

Me and my boys with your lunch view.

The four of us.
Me and the hubs.
I can't get over how cool this little town is.

The boys at lunch.
We had ice cream after lunch, actually we had ice cream a lot this trip. :)

Next up was yet a little further south where we went to glen arbor. It was our least favorite of our road trips for the day....the town was cute but I definitely think that a little town right on the water is where it's at.

I think kris was about done with pictures at this point. But he still participated in every one.

Cherry Republic was super busy for being a Tuesday but I'm glad we checked it out anyway as it was on my list.
And lastly we headed back to empire to the sleeping bear dunes. I can't get over how beautiful the weather was, it was perfect!
Me with the beautiful Lake Michigan behind me.
The boys climbing the dune.
The dune was basically straight down, and straight up. We ventured just under half way down. If we go back we will do the whole thing, we were afraid we would get sunburned and weren't dressed properly.

The little men on the top of a dune.
And our family. Love!!
And possibly the most exciting event of the day was Wyatt losing his first tooth.
Yay Wyatt!!!!!
