Happy Mother's Day 2011

Happy Mother's Day! Hope all you mommas had as good of a day as I did. I truly enjoyed my day spent with my boys.....we played outside, went for a walk, ordered carry-out from Zukey, had ice-cream and just had a wonderful day filled with family and fun times. Here are my boys....love them!! We stopped by Costco today....what's a weekend without a trip to Costco? Owen is actually giving a nice smile!

Ugh oh, now he decided to put his brother in a choke hold.....good thing Wyatt is a tough guy and can take the roughness!

Wyatt going down the slide all by himself....see the look on his face? It is shear terror! Poor boy, but that look disappeared when he made it to the bottom of the slide.

Owen and Wyatt enjoyed a nice long truck ride today. They even got stuck in the backyard so we had to push them out.

Happy boys enjoying a beautiful day.

My wonderful husband cleaned my car inside and out for me today. So now it is super shiny and sleek looking like the day we brought it home from the dealer. He and the boys also got me four new ring toppers for my STAXX ring. I LOVE them all! Can't wait to wear them.

Hope you enjoyed your day as much as I did. It was so nice just to stay home and be with my family.

Boys are bathed and in bed already and I'm just going to relax and unwind for the rest of the night. Who knows, we may even go in the hot tub tonight!

UPDATE ON ME!

I feel GREAT! No complaints......I'm thinking it is the Humira which isn't supposed to be a fast acting medication but I've had two injections so far and I just feel GREAT!!! I still have mild symptoms of discomfort but overall I have no complaints and am SO happy! I even started running again......fourth day in a row today! If it isn't the Humira that is doing the trick then I think I may have been having an adverse reaction to the methotrexate injection. Due to my increased liver enzymes I had to stop taking it and in the meantime started the Humira. I just pray that the Humira continues to work and that I will continue to feel well. I'm like a whole new person!! It is a WONDERFUL feeling.

Thomas the Tank Engine

We had a great time seeing Thomas the tank engine today at Greenfield Village. Owen loves Thomas and Wyatt had a great time running around everything!

Mother's Day gifts revealed!

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful moms. As promised here are my color themed gifts to my mom and my mother-in-law.

Mother's Day hint.......

I set up a little photo studio in the house today and started snapping away.....Wyatt was mostly cooperative. Owen on the other hand wanted nothing to do with the camera. He wouldn't let me do his hair and he most definitely wouldn't give me a good smile...not one!

Did I already mention that Wyatt was cooperative. So adorable!

Enjoy your hint moms! This is the only hint you will get before you get your gifts!

Mother's Day gifts and Owen the stinker story!

I haven't been able to stop shopping for my mom and my mother-in-law for mother's day gifts. I thought I was done about a month ago but since their gifts are color themed this year (turquoise and purple, shhhh don't tell them) every time i have been to the store and have spotted something turquoise or purple I am drawn to it like a crazy woman! I was planning for a few months to make them something.....I ended up buying so much stuff in the meantime that my plan and motivation kind of fizzled out on me. But finally I got my motivation back because I wanted Owen to help me make something special for the moms in my life. So I took Owen to Michaels- he was mostly excited about getting to pick something out for him....he ended up picking out a flute! At least it was blue! Finally he started half helping me pick out our supplies but was really more interested in playing his flute! Yes - I was the one with the annoying kid playing a flute in the middle of Michaels but you gotta do when you are on a mission!

I picked everything out with his approval and when I got home I started to do a little painting. After the paint was dry I decided to do a little gluing to make the project complete. (i can't reveal too much on here because I haven't given them their gifts yet)

The next day I ran some errands and when I got home I noticed that the items that I had glued on to the gift had been removed. Owen was already in bed and when I inquired about what happened to Kris, he had no idea! I asked Owen what happened the following morning and he said that he removed the glued items because it wasn't nice that i didn't wait for him to help like i had promised.

So I again glued on the items and now I have to go to Michaels again to get something that he can help me with to make for them....... I hope to post pictures on here of the finished product. And I hope that they like them! And I hope that Owen doesn't mess around with the new project....whatever it is we decide to do!

I love me a clean house!

Unfortunately our cleaning girl had emergency surgery so she wasn't able to come for our scheduled cleaning. And of course the house was just getting nasty! I mean really nasty! So since I've been feeling well going on 3 or 4 days in a row now I decided to get off my butt and start some mad cleaning! I LOVE cleaning! LOVE IT! But when your hands and fingers and wrists are all swollen and sore it doesn't make it quite as much fun.....so since my swelling has been very limited and I feel good I decided to give it a go. Windows- check....dusting- check....vacuuming- check....decluttering- check.....mopping (i ran out of steam by the time I got around to even think about mopping.) I know my desk still looks a tad bit messy- but hey, I was in the middle of doing some work!

Notice the picture over the fire place, it is soon going to be updated. Our photo shoot that I won is scheduled for a few weeks from now and I can't wait to put our new family portrait on the mantel. I'm getting a canvas portrait of our family....super excited! I told Kris tonight that I really don't know what my problem is but I am a completely different person when my house is clean. I feel happy and motivated. I'm already sad to think about tomorrow morning when all the toys come flying out of the baskets and all my efforts will become a distant memory....Oh well....i love my boys more then a clean house!
