Out for some fresh air
I took the boys to a local park this week. We just needed to get out of the house and take in the sunshine (even though it was a tad chilly).
Wyatt would not look at me once while I was trying to take his picture. Stinker!
Owen on the other hand was full of smiles for me.
We are so fortunate to just be able to get up and go when we need to and want to. The boys love this park. There are some really cute shops, including an ice cream store and lollipop store within walking distance, so we can't wait for the weather to turn a little bit warmer so we can take advantage of our local businesses!

Happy Easter....Part 2
Here are the other pictures that were taken yesterday at my parents house. My brother has a cool setting on his phone that only detects a certain color....thus he pulled out all of the yellow in this picture
Here is Wy hanging out under the table.

I think Wyatt really likes ring pops.
Here is another picture my brother took that pulled out all of the blue Wy was wearing.

Hey he found one.
and another one.....

Owen likes his ring pop too!

We always joke that this is the "death trap" that my parents have on display in their backyard. But it seems this year the death trap was actually used to hold some of the hidden eggs. Thankfully they know not to climb on this contraption.
Me and my boys.....love you guys!

Happy Easter....Part I
Happy Easter! He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed! We had quite a busy day today but it was great overall. We love spending time with both of our families and always look forward to holidays so we can do just that.
I'm still waiting on some more pictures to roll in that my brother and sister took today but thought I'd post some of my favorite pictures from our day that I took. Here is Wyatt this morning right when we got home from church.
Owen finally realized that the Easter Bunny did come to our house. He was up at 7am and didn't notice the baskets and all the eggs hidden around the house until we got home from church around 11am......
Both boys enjoying the candy from their easter baskets.
After church we came home for a few hours and then headed over to my parents for brunch. Here is nana with Nathan and Owen.
Wy-man eating a ring pop that he found inside one of his eggs.
Nana and Wyatt.
Owen looking for more eggs.....the Easter bunny hid them all over nana and papa's deck and backyard...they were searching for a LONG time!

Wyatt either trying to find more eggs in the backyard or trying to put his head through the rails of the deck.....you decide!
Me and Wy-man.
Kris cuddling with Wyatt....we tried to put him down for a nap at my parents but there was too much noise and exciting stuff going on so he ended up coming down the stairs after about a 10 minute rest period in his pack'n'play.

Almost Ready!
The Easter Bunny came to our house tonight and left these nice baskets for Owen and Wyatt.
Here is Wyatt's basket....he loves Chuggington!
And Owen's basket....
Now I'm headed to bed to try to get at least a good 6 hours of sleep in before Owen wakes up....he's an early riser as it is, and even an earlier riser when he is excited!
Thank you Jesus for the opportunity to teach Owen and Wyatt about what Easter is all about, after all without you we wouldn't have a reason to celebrate the holiday!
Beautiful Saturday
What a beautiful day we had today. I mowed the lawn for the first time this season and it was wonderful. I love mowing our lawn. It is "me" time for about an hour and it is truly something I look forward to doing every week.
When I was done mowing, Wyatt decided he wanted to have a book read to him so we cuddled on the tractor and read. Kris was cleaning out the garage so we sort of hung out like this for a little bit.......until......
Wyatt discovered that there was a room above the garage.....he was up that ladder before we knew what was going on.....this is the second time he climbed the ladder. The first time Kris and I were no where near him....kind of scary...we came running after Owen was screaming for us.
And what would a beautiful day be without some yummy Taco Bell for dinner? (Owen's request by the way. ) Since he has been feeling better we let him pick where we would have dinner tonight and Taco Bell won hands down without hesitation.
Wy-man giving us his "look". This kid is a monster! He kept getting into Kris' stuff tonight and was doing little random things that we had to keep telling him "no" for. Kris finally looked at me and said, "oh my gosh, this kid is a monster". I smiled and nicely responded that he's the reason it is so hard for me to get any work done during the day, or anything for that matter...seriously this kid is into EVERYTHING! But of course we love him to pieces!

Decorating Easter Eggs
Thankfully Owen is pretty much back to normal after his lengthy bout of the stomach flu. I took him back to the doctor on Monday after more puking and diarrhea and the doc said that he was still VERY dehydrated and had a lot of key tones in his urine so he had to drink, drink, and drink. He also wanted to collect a stool sample to rule out any ecoli, or c-diff going on, so lucky for me I was able to collect some stool samples and take them to the lab, not once but twice this week. It was a fun time.....that's for sure!
We got the results yesterday that his poo came back normal so we are just led to believe it was a NASTY bug. And thankfully no one else got it!!
So today Kris and Owen dyed some eggs for Easter. Owen has been looking forward to this all week long.
Here he is with an "egg nose". Good one Owen!
