Early birthday present

Yesterday Wyatt asked me if I had a dollar....I said yes in my purse. So he took it and said he was putting it in my birthday card. :)

I told him that he could just ask daddy for some money to buy me something littler and he said, "no I want to use my own money!"

He wanted to get me a mini figure....more specifically the zombie cheerleader who is wearing Michigan state colors.

Today kris took the boys out shopping and they came home with a mini figure that that the boys were almost positive was the cheerleader.......right they were! And I love her!!!!!

Wyatt wore his MSU jersey today for some extra luck!

And speaking of the new mini figures from series 14...here are most of them. The boys put them on the mantle the other day and I didn't realize it until I started cleaning the house yesterday. What a cute find!

It was a very thoughtful gift and I love it!

Swaddle time

Wyatt wanted to be swaddled last night.....he was so cute about it. Just kept laughing the whole time kris was swaddling him.

And naturally after all the commotion in Wyatt's room, Owen had to come check it out. Then he needed to be swaddle too!

Our boys are so big!!

A surprise field trip

Kris has been super busy at work lately.....like to the point of him not being able to spend any time with us.  He works all day and comes home and works until way past the boys are in bed. It's been frustrating for all of us.....so we were thrilled when he had a break and wanted to do something fun with us.

We picked the boys up from school and headed to a cider mill/orchard.

We decided to pick apples and raspberries.

The raspberries were hard to pick. A lot were moldy plus the bushes were really thorn filled and Wyatt didn't like that. (Me either)
Yum!!!!

Double yum!

I hung out with Wyatt while kris and Owen picked raspberries. He was so upset so we had some goofy photo time.
Next up apples......Wyatt was happy again. His favorite are Golden delicious
Owen prefers honey crisp....
We also got a bunch of mollies delicious this time too!
And of course we had to get some donuts and cider. Triple yum!
Cute boys
We loved having a little fun family adventure. It was a beautiful day for sure!

Wyatt's school shoes

First day of school 2015

Remember that ear injury I wrote about earlier? Well wouldn't it figure that he would scratch it open while he was sleeping and wake up on the first day of school looking like this?! He only let me clean off some of it which made for some interesting pictures!

But alas I did my best and here are my boys...love them and so excited for them to start school.
Owen is so big! I hope that this year is his year at school.....the year that he loves and his attitude about school changes.
Wyatt continues to be my sweet boy. I'm excited for him to make some good friends this year and that he learns to love school and be excited about going every single day.
The two of them.
They needed a goofy pose to break up the seriousness.
Finally at school!!! Getting ready to go in for the first day!
I missed them so much and couldn't wait to pick them up today. We took Abby and Lexi out to lunch with us and made an afternoon of it.

Barakel

It was my fourteenth year this year, Owens ninth and Wyatt's sixth......crazy right?!!! It has been such an awesome blessing that we have been able to go every year.

Now enjoy some pics of our weekend. It was a beautiful weekend!

Playing some basketball while waiting for Owen to get off of the bus.
Heading to archery and thunder express.
We found some disc golf on the way which was a first for all of us.
Thunder express.....a favorite!
The walk back to the top.....not a favorite, especially when it is 80 plus degrees outside.
Owen is getting more embarrassed by the day of me taking pictures of him. He is truly all boy now....big boy!
Wyatt's first class. He wasn't actually mad....but I love this look of his!
Graamee gave Owen an artists book while at camp and Owen tried his best at an elephant, Gramee is an excellent artist.
We did some crafts in our down time.
The boys both wanted to make marshmallow shooters.
Me and the hubs
Our family pic on the way down to the lake.

Lake time fun. I paddle boarded while kris and the boys enjoyed the water slide and dock.
Me and my baby
More crafts at the campsite with Gramee.
On the last day there Owen ran into the outdoor kitchen pull out countertop.
It has been the most serious accident in his 9 years of being there.
and lastly our family wheel barrow picture. Love this picture.

Can't wait til next year....we miss you already!
