The woods

The boys have recently taken an interest in the woods behind our house. It is a cool area that we fell in love with when we bought this house. It is perfect for boys!!

Tonight after I couldn't find my boys, I started looking for them and found them playing with their cousins.

N built this bridge all by himself. It is very cool.


NJ found this hollowed out tree that was by his fort he was building. Also very cool.

Owen told me tonight that he doesn't know why they didn't like the woods before now. He said that it is really neat out there and that he likes building his fort. I'm loving all the creativity that can happen back there!

Union wood shop

Friday night we surprised the boys with a fun little road trip to reward them for this good report cards. We saw this restaurant featured on diners, drive ins and dives a while back and have been wanting to try it since!


We really enjoyed our meal and kris and I are looking forward to a date night soon...


After we surprised the boys to Brick It Up, a Lego place near the restaurant. The boys loved it.


We were there for over two hours and had to drag them out of there.

Owen

Owen learned how to drive the tractor this weekend. He took several loads and dumped them in the woods for me. What a big help he was!


My neighbor grabbed the boys the other day and showed them this turtle. Owen took it to the pond across the street. It was a squirmy turtle.


And lastly kris has been teaching him how to do things around the house including cleaning the grill.

What we've been up to lately

I know it's been a while. We have had a really busy month. We had the auction a few weeks ago now and it was a huge success. I'm so blessed to have been a part of something so amazing. Here are kris and I the night of.


Leading up to the auction it was a crazy blur. This was the night after and I couldn't get enough of my boys!!


Since then the weather has been a little nice so we've been doing a lot of this....


And it never hurts when kris brings us all a refreshing beverage!


We've also been eating a lot of ice cream and Wyatt can't put it down!

Wyatt's getting big

My baby is getting so big. The other day while I was working I glanced over and saw him like this. He got up on the counter all by himself. Usually he needs help getting up there!

Growing up!

The boys are officially getting older. They have been earning commission since January and have been saving their money really well.

Today I took them shopping and they each picked out a wallet to house their "spend" money. They are so geeked about their new purchase!


Owen didn't have enough money to buy his....he was short some odd change....so Wyatt loaned him some money in exchange for Owen making Wyatt's bed for two days. Good business strategy!!
