My boys have fifths disease....

I don't know how or where they got it but Wyatt woke up this morning covered from head to toe in a nasty rash and still had a low grade fever. I thought it was sun poisoning....took him in and sure enough it is fifths disease. Owen just started the rash this morning but when I put him to bed tonight it is spreading down his face and his back.
If you look closely at the picture above you can see some of the redness on Wyatt's face. I just thought it was a little sun burn or a reaction to the sunscreen. I'm glad I took him in!


Looks like me and the boys will be staying in for a while and will be using lots of Lysol. Good times!!

Our new summer home

Well after a lot of research we finally decided on our new summer home. We loved our old fifth wheel however Owen was afraid of the loft and wouldn't sleep up there, and now with Wyatt we really need the space for him on the bottom of the loft. So we decided to trade in our fifth wheel for something that would accommodate all of us for the next several years. We love it and can't wait to take our first trip together!
Here is the main bathroom. The only bummer about this bathroom is that it doesn't have a tub for the boys like the old one did.....but we will manage. Here is our dresser in the master.

Dining and living room area..........we are taking it back to the dealer next week to have a dinette with stand alone chairs installed. The bench/booth seating is not conducive to our tall family.

It also has an outdoor kitchen that is quite spectacular. We hope to get a lot of use out of that as well.

We are so happy to have something a bit larger that will allow us to travel in comfort. We don't fly so figure this really is our summer home so don't mind spending a little extra money to have the amenities that we want.

Kris couponing

Well Kris has a new addiction.......couponing! He has been watching the show Extreme Couponing and I have to say that we are both amazed at how the whole process works. So here is Kris on a Monday morning sorting through all of the coupons. Side note **** We like to watch TLC's show hoarding buried alive too but for some reason that doesn't give him the motivation to clean out the basement!

Wyatt's birthday celebration

We had so much fun the last time we took the boys to Splash Village that we decided this is how we wanted to celebrate with Wyatt on his first birthday. Owen LOVES it so it was a win win decision for us. Here are the boys in the arcade riding on a Bob the Builder tractor. We had so much fun! It was a lot more crowded then the last time we were here, but we still managed to have a great time. Love our family trips!

Happy 1st Birthday Wyatt

Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet baby boy! We had so much fun celebrating his first birthday. Both families came over to help us celebrate this very special occasion. Aunt Julie won the present competition (there really isn't a competition, but if there was she would have won!). Wyatt LOVES his new GIANT bear! Perfect gift! Such a happy boy!

We had such a blast celebrating his first birthday.....the weather mostly cooperated, it didn't start storming until the end of his party!

Wyatt and Owen both slept like charms and are recuperated and refreshed this morning.

In just over a month we will celebrate again for Owen's fourth birthday.....my boys are getting SO big!

It is always a fun surprise when I head upstairs for the night and find Owen like this in our bed......he even tucked in his animal friends......adorable!

Wyatt is almost a year

I can't believe Wyatt will be 1 in two days......today he got his first hair cut. He did great! Big boy hanging out on the porch..... He is almost ONE!!!

Kris had to replace the well pump. We have noticed lately that our water pressure is horrible and that our well pump runs 24 hours per day regardless of whether we are using water. So today Kris' dad took the day off of work and came to help him....sooo nice! And they did great, everything went well and now our water pressure is awesome! Kris saved us about $2,000.00 being able to do this himself. I'm such a lucky girl to have a husband who can do ANYTHING! So blessed to have him! (PS- don't mind my finger in the picture, i'm still trying to figure out my new phone)

Now we have two babies.....birds, that is!

Another birdy hatched either last night or this morning.....two down, two to go......it is fun to watch them and Owen loves to look at them. Now these things need to finish hatching and growing so we can start grilling out again!

remember the post about a week or so ago about the birds nest in our bbq grille? Well we had one of the four birds hatch today. I personally think it is super ugly....but it was fun to look at it and watch it move around and make noise. Every time we opened up the grille the little birdy would open its beak....poor thing was soooo hungry! Hopefully tomorrow another one will have hatched so this baby has a buddy to play with. It will be fun to watch them!

Happy Mother's Day 2011

Happy Mother's Day! Hope all you mommas had as good of a day as I did. I truly enjoyed my day spent with my boys.....we played outside, went for a walk, ordered carry-out from Zukey, had ice-cream and just had a wonderful day filled with family and fun times. Here are my boys....love them!! We stopped by Costco today....what's a weekend without a trip to Costco? Owen is actually giving a nice smile!

Ugh oh, now he decided to put his brother in a choke hold.....good thing Wyatt is a tough guy and can take the roughness!

Wyatt going down the slide all by himself....see the look on his face? It is shear terror! Poor boy, but that look disappeared when he made it to the bottom of the slide.

Owen and Wyatt enjoyed a nice long truck ride today. They even got stuck in the backyard so we had to push them out.

My wonderful husband cleaned my car inside and out for me today. So now it is super shiny and sleek looking like the day we brought it home from the dealer. He and the boys also got me four new ring toppers for my STAXX ring. I LOVE them all! Can't wait to wear them.

Hope you enjoyed your day as much as I did. It was so nice just to stay home and be with my family.

Boys are bathed and in bed already and I'm just going to relax and unwind for the rest of the night. Who knows, we may even go in the hot tub tonight!
