My goofy husband

Kris decided to fertilize the lawn right when it started raining today..... This was my view from the porch. I ain't going out there!!

But he thought for so e reason that it wouldn't be so bad.

It looked absolutely horrible. After he was done he agreed it wasn't his best decision ever. But it is the fastest I've seen him run in a very.long.time!!!

Wy's got a new bike!!

We had a little tricycle that was Owen's and we sold it at a garage sale when wy was a baby. We contemplated keeping it but decided that it would be nice for wy to get some "new" toys too and not just get all of Owen's hand me downs. So this past weekend we realized how bored wy was and decided it was time to get him his own bike.

He picked out a cars bike and helmet.

But then changed his mind to a transformers themed one instead.

Almost done building it.

Trying on his new helmet. Wy has a pretty bad gag reflex so his helmet was bothering him a lot, but we explained that he had to wear it and that was the end of it.

Trying it out.

What a big boy. The bike is a tad big for him and we still need to work with him, a lot, to build up his confidence. But he has a bike and that's a step in the right direction!!!

Our first family camping trip of the season

We went to port huron this past weekend for our annual Memorial Day get a way with our good friends James, connie,Landon and carter. Due to Carter's brain cancer Connie was only able to bring him up on Saturday, but we were so glad they could sneak out and get some fresh air for the day. James and Landon hung out with us until Sunday.
Our Friday started good....until wy got sick on the new rv rug I bought for kris for our anniversary. Then after we went inside he proceeded to get sick from both ends. At one point he was just laying like this in the bathroom. Poor boy!! I've never done laundry at a campground before but got to experience that first hand. It wasn't too bad. Pretty fast and relatively inexpensive.

After his bathie he was all smiles until he got sick again.

Which of course meant another bath. And then he finally was able to fall asleep for the night.

Here's Owen with his new turtle from Grammy.

Saturday morning wy was all smiles and acted like nothing had happened. We were thinking it was just something he ate and were so relieved he was better because our good friends were with us and Connie and carter were headed up for the day and we didn't want to chance getting carter sick...at all...especially because yesterday they left for Carter's make a wish trip to Florida to swim with the dolphins.

The boys played pretty well together.

And in the afternoon we hit up the sluice box for some mining. Owen got a bag of fossils and wy chose a bag of gem stones.

Having so much fun discovering what's in the sluice.

And we went on the go-karts.

Wy loved it!!

That was all Saturday. I took a shower Saturday night and went to bed. I woke up about 130am and was sick to my stomach. I spent the night in the bathroom. Kris woke up about two hours later and had the same thing as me. Then Sunday morning Owen got it. It was horrible. We pretty much couldn't move all day. I did get enough energy to drive to the corner store for some much needed "sick" food and drinks.

Then on Monday we were all feeling better and decided to take the boys putt putting since Sunday was such a wasted day for all of us.

Kris teaching wy how to putt putt.

Me and the hubs.

Hoping you all had a great Memorial Day weekend!!

Happy 9 years!!

Dear Kris,
Nine years ago today I was already up and ready for the day....yet had butterflies in my stomach. Not bad butterflies, but good ones....the kind that come with excitement and happiness....I would soon be marrying my best friend, the love of my life and I was ready...SO ready!!
Fast forward nine years, I know we talk about how long nine years seems but it also seems like such a short amount of time when you are spending every moment with the love of your life. I'm even more in love with you now and my love grows deeper for you each and every day.
We have had more good times than bad and have had more ups than downs. I consider this a pure blessing. We have had some health scares and seen family members struggle but again we have been together through all of this and I know that you were the one who ultimately helped me through these hard and trying times.
We have owned two house, owned more cars and toys than I care to admit to (love you still), and have two amazing little boys who I am so proud of. You have stayed me with me throughout my pregnancies in the hospital and never left my side to go home to get some sleep. I'll always admire that about you. You would never leave my side on behalf of you.
I couldn't go back all nine years but was able to get some pictures of just the two of us over the past few years.
At aunt debi and uncle dusan's lake house for Fourth of July. Thank you for never once complaining about going somewhere or doing something you didn't want to do.

Valentines day at the frankenmuth brewery. Thank you for whisking me away on special occasions like this...with just the two of us.

An Easter egg hunt at Julie's. thank you for doing all the extras with our family. The boys and I notice.

Christmas time downtown. Thank you for always taking these pictures with me, even though I know deep down you would rather not.

My parents 40th anniversary. Thank you for putting up with them and loving them as your own. (They love you back)

At our annual photo session. (I know you hate these, but I also know that you know that I love them. So thank you for never complaining about them.)

My 31st birthday celebrated on our adult weekend in frankenmuth. Thank you for wanting to do fun things with me....and being equally as excited.

Julie's wedding, I know we were both in shock when the day finally came, but it was a beautiful day. Thank you for helping to take care of the boys on her special day so I could enjoy some alone time with her and my mom.

At the reception. Just the two of us. A common pose. Love this picture because its just us. We just work together. Thank you for this!

Me and you watching in awe of Julie dancing with Wyatt while he was in his pjs and wrapped in his teenage mutant ninja turtle blanket. Thank you for sharing this moment with me.

Our adult weekend to frankenmuth this year. Thank you for your laughter. When you laugh, everything seems to slow down for a second and I soak in life....the life that we created together.

Lastly our most recent picture together, putt putting with our boys on our first family camping trip of the year. Thank you for mustering up the energy to do something fun with our boys even though the day before we were as sick as could be.

I know how short and precious life is. I thank God every day for you and our family and pray that He will continue to bless us in growing old together and be there for our boys.
I thank you for being you. I thank you for loving me. I thank you for telling me you love me multiple times each day and for making an effort to give me a kiss every time when you come home from work or get back from wherever. I could go on and on and on......
Happy nine years. Praying for another 50+ of loving each other. I love you with all of my heart.

Owen's first book report

Owen is almost done with school.... less than a week and a half to be exact. He came home last week with his first homework assignment which was a book report. He had to do all of the work himself. It took a lot of time and some frustration (from kris, me and Owen) but tonight he finished his assignment and was so proud of his work. He was so excited he wanted to sleep with it, and as I was saying good night to him he just kept saying how he couldn't wait to show his class tomorrow.

His report was on an animal of his choosing. He chose a peacock. It was fun working with him on this project.

It was a good little sneak peak of what next year will look like.

Adult weekend

We headed to frankenmuth this weekend for our annual world expo of beer adult weekend. It was accaawesome!!

My brother came up the first night and went to beer fest with the guys. They had a pretty amazing time.

Here are kris and I hanging out by the camper. No kids=a lot of sitting around and doing nothing!

Here are erin and Craig.

A new shop opened up this weekend that sold funnel cakes. They were so good!!

Kris said he was chewing food, that's why he looks mad!

And of course we had to hit up the brewery for dinner and Craig couldn't pass up the great deal for this case of beer.

Me and the hubs!! Love him!!

We had so much fun.....shopped, rested, ate a lot, shopped some more, enjoyed the hot tub, etc etc etc!

Can't wait for next year!!

Wyatt's three year check up

I took wy to his three year check up last Friday. It was his first time ever having his blood pressure taken. Adorable!! He was a bit hesitant at first....

But ended up like a champ. BP was 94/50.

The nurse gave him this cool tiger gown to put on for his visit with the doctor. Wyatt hated every minute of this gown.

He became instantly grumpy, so.......

I let him take it off and just hang out in his undies for the visit. He was still rather grumpy but was much better just with having the gown off.

All in all he had a good check up. Here are his stats:

Weight: 34.6 lbs (78%)
Height: 40 3/4 inches (98%)
BMI: 14.61 (8%)
BP: 94/50
