Busy boys

Owen and Wyatt made a heart cake yesterday with Grammy. It is soooo yummy! Wyatt was scarfing it down tonight. Check out the mess that he made. It was all over his cup, the table, himself, etc! He was such a messy boy! And while Wyatt was making quite the mess with his cake, Owen wrote his first sentence. It says "dont sit in this chair" and is signed "owen". He wrote it all by himself. I just had to share since this was his first try at writing any words other than Owen and Love. We had another great day today! Breakfast with my family at the donut shop and church tomorrow and then dinner with Kris' parents at Andiamo.

Pics from this week

I feel like I haven't blogged in a while......life goes by way too fast! I just started working full-time again, still from home and it will only be until March 1st (or so I'm told) but regardless I've been busy. Working, taking care of the boys (Kris is never home), cooking, cleaning, etc. it is all keeping me very busy. So I decided to post a bunch of random pictures that I took throughout the week.

Wyatt came over to me looking like this the other day......so cute! I immediately imagined what it would be like to have a daughter....wearing a pink hat! Adorable!

Sometimes we find Owen like this in the morning or throughout the day. He sets up a little fort right in front of the heater vent so he can stay, in his own words, "toasty warm". Good idea Owen! It certainly does look comfy!

And of course we had a lot of concerts this week.

This was taken last weekend when Kris was home. It is a cute picture of the two of them. One day this week while I was driving Owen to school we happened to be behind a L.E.T.S bus. Owen asked if that bus was going to a delicate people school.....love that kid!!

So tonight Kris is home at a decent hour and we are going to spend our weekend together as a family. Dinner, games, movies, whatever the boys want to do! It doesn't really matter what we do as long as we are together.

Another great weekend!

We got a little bit of snow last night, not as much as we were hoping for, but enough to take the boys sledding again. This was Wyatt's first time sledding and out in the snow for a prolonged period of time. He really loved it despite all of his melancholy expressions. Our good friends came over with their two boys and enjoyed some good old fashioned outdoor fun with us.

The lighting was great today. I love this picture....so cute! Here Kris is at the end of his run.....good times! Love this kid!Wyatt enjoying his first run down the hill.

And eating some snow. The snow was rather dry so he went kind of slow....but he said "weee" the whole way down.

Kris giving Owen a boost.Kris pulling Wy up the hill.

Sweet boy all bundled up.

Kris and Wy-man

Owen waiting his turn to be pushed down the hill.

It was a fantastic day. The boys had hot chocolate when we came back inside and played the rest of the night. It is so nice to have such good friends with the same morals and values as us. We practically are family!

Hope you all had a beautiful weekend.....I hear rain is in our forecast....what a blah winter so far!

Happy Thursday!!

The boys had a great day with Grammy today!! Owen made some snow dough this morning. And they made a snowman snack!!

So cute! Here they are working on another snowman project.....

And the beautiful finished product!

Grammy is the best! She keeps the boys super busy with great activities....sure puts me to shame! Wy was so excited to go and see her this morning. He was squealing when he woke up this morning. Thanks grammy for taking such good care of my boys all day. I appreciate it!

Cute Owen story

Today I had to run up to the lab to have a urine sample taking for my nephrologist. My mom came over and watched the boys for about 45 minutes so I didn't have to drag them with me in a public restroom and try to make sure that they didn't touch anything. Just thinking about them being there creeps me out!

So tonight at dinner Owen asked the blessing. This is pretty verbatim to what he said, "Dear Lord, Thank you for this day and thank you for letting nana come over to babysit so my mom could go to the doctor and pee in a bucket, and thank you for this food and please bless it to our bodies and help to keep us strong and healthy, Amen."

So of course I just start cracking up when he mentions me peeing in a bucket.....how can you keep a straight face with a comment like that?!

And tonight my boys climbed up in my chair with me at my desk and we took a nice picture of the three of us. Love my boys, just love 'em!

Wy Dedication Part #2

My sister sent over her pictures faster than I was expecting, so I thought I would share these as well.
Cool picture! I love the stained glass and the sun was shinning just perfect today! Our family on stage.

Wyatt starting to "freak" outYep more freaking out in the middle of a prayer....thanks Wy! The pastor even said, "Wyatt - the prophet, hopefully you can use that voice for God someday!"

Me and my baby!Back at home. Kris trying to figure out what Owen wants for lunch.

Owen the rock star! This kid has some serious moves....he made us all gather around tonight for a concert. It was greatWy and Nathan playing

Wy in his tunnel.

Me and Wy.....

Wy and me......

It was getting a little crazy by this time. And even a little crazier when my brother and Nick arrived later in the day.Aunt Julie needed a nap from all the pictures she had taken today. Actually I really think that she just needed a massage in the I-Joy. Everyone usually fights over it when they are over and ironically Kris and I never use it! Go figure...

It wasn't a long nap but she swore Owen is a comfy pillow.

And this is how we finished the day. The boys were like this watching a movie. Love it!As I said earlier, a perfect day....just perfect. Good food, good times, good family! God is good all of the time, all of the time God is good!

Wyatt's dedication

Wyatt was dedicated at church this morning. It was such a special day. Kris' parents and aunt EE and Mr. Craig came out to church with us as well as my whole family.

This is before the service. I love this picture of Kris and Wyatt. I love how Kris is looking at Wyatt....such love! Here Wyatt is being dedicated. Wyatt was quite the "squiggle muffin" according to our pastor. He was all over the place and a little too vocal. But what are you going to do?!
Grammy and Grampy got Wyatt a present....a huge Thomas the Train set. Wyatt LOVES it!!We had everyone back to our house for a nice lunch. It was such a nice opportunity to have both families together. And it was nice that it was at our house so we didn't have to go anywhere. It was a perfect day for many reasons!

Finally snow.....

We finally got our first major snowfall last night. We woke up to a beautiful snow covered ground. Kris took Owen sledding this afternoon.

Here Kris is pulling Owen to the other side of the field to go down the big hill. Owen at the bottom of the hill in our backyard.

Kris pushing Owen down the hill.Walking back up the hill for the umpteenth time! Kris looks a little tired.....Wyatt snuck out the door behind me when I went out to take some pictures of Owen....poor boy, he didn't know how cold it was going to be.

Finally realizing that his feet are FREEZING!

Owen even got to help daddy plow out the driveway. Love his face in this picture!

What a big boy!

We made hot chocolate when they came inside and got all warm and cozy. It will be another fun weekend for us hanging out as a family. Love it!
