My boy is 8!!!!

Owen is 8!!! We can hardly believe it. This year he wanted a mine craft party, however we were striking out finding a cake so he picked a baseball theme instead......so naturally I ran with it! (Excuse all my puns)

It was an All American Baseball theme. It was fun to decorate and even better yet that I can keep all of the decorations up through Labor Day.

He requested a taco bar. Such an easy and good meal to serve. Everyone loved it!

This bird wanted in on the birthday fun.......he ran right into our glass door and fell on our porch. Kris nursed it back to good health and thankfully it was able to fly away.

My good looker!

Grammy gave him a print out of his favorite ride at Disney, Aerosmith's rock'n'roller coaster.

Look at that face. So excited. A titanic model!

Me and my buddy!

We played some baseball after dinner and had so much fun!

I'm so happy with this picture because it looks like everyone knew what they were doing, when none of us had a clue :)

Cake time.......yum!

Being goofy

Grammy got Owen a spirograph that he loves. Exciting stuff!

It was a perfect day for a party, perfect weather, perfect food, perfect company. My boy had a great day!!

Beer fest 2015

A few weekends back we headed to Frankenmuth for our 5th annual World Expo of Beer festival. It is an adult only weekend and we have an amazing time.

It was the first trip our this season with our camper and I'm glad it was just the two of us as we had a slight propane leak on night 1.....nothing that my super handy hubby couldn't fix though.

It was super wet when we got there on Friday so naturally we tied up our boat and docked it at our site :)

The lovely erin and Craig

I couldn't find any good pictures of the necklaces that we made for the guys, so this will have to do. Apparently they were getting a lot of compliments on how awesome they were.......ah duh! (Yes those are slim jims, pretzels and string cheese)

Usually the girls don't go to the festival, though erin gave it a go this year while Connie and I got pedicures and shopped. Erin texted us during our pedicure to please come and get her. She was done with guys and wanted to hang out with us again!

Such a great weekend.......wish we had a couple more just like this every year.

Disney day #7 last day......so sad!

We signed the boys up for a pirate adventure boat cruise the last morning of our trip, it was a three hour excursion and we knew they would love it, plus it would give us some time to get the hotel room packed up. From there we headed to the pool to lay around until they were done.

Wyatt made two of these ice cream sundaes during the week. He was in dessert heaven.

We flew home late Friday night and didn't get home until almost 11pm.

It was an incredible trip. I realized that despite my own fears, my family needs and deserves these vacations regularly. I'm already trying to plan our next trip in my head.

The boys were so good the entire week! I love them so much and am so thankful that we had this opportunity for them to experience Disney when they are young. We are so blessed that kris' parents took us and spared no expense to guarantee we would have an amazing time!!

Disney Day #6

Thursday was probably our busiest day. We went back to magic kingdom in the morning and got in a ton more stuff!

We had a snack (breakfast) at Gastons.....the most delicious cinnamon rolls and chocolate filled croissants......amazing!!

We went to the haunted mansion and wy was a bit scared.

Here is a memorial for my great uncle Colin who was an artist for Disney. He was definitely creative, it was fun to see his many designs while we were there.

Me and my boy!

Love!

On our way to Tom Sawyers island.

The Swiss family Robinson tree house

After magic kingdom we took the monorail back to Epcot for lunch. Kris and his parents went to England and had from what I hear some amazing fish and chips, while I took the boys to America for some mediocre food.

Next up we went back to downtown Disney because we promised the boys a trip to the Lego store.

We headed back to the hotel and swam and had a fantastic dinner at our resort restaurant.
