Sweet Wyatt

The other day we walked down to the street to show the boys some new lights we put in. As we were walking back up to the house I noticed our mailbox flag was up and I asked who did it. Wyatt said he did, he was mailing a letter to Santa.
So I left it be and ran out early the next morning to see what it said.

Oh my heart!!
This boy is so adorable. I love him to pieces!!!

I guess we know what Santa is bringing this year!!

Saturday fun!!

Kris taught the boys how to light things on fire using a magnifying glass. They were hooked!! And when my grandma passed they each took their own magnifying glass from her apartment to keep.

Look at that flame! They were amazed!!
It was super hot today so while out running an errand we stopped to let the boys get slushies. It's a favorite thing of theirs. They squeal like they've just won the lottery. We love that they are so happy on something so simple!

And just because.....he is!! (Read his shirt)
The boys read again tonight on the deck. Wyatt created this basket filled with books and brought it outside. It was adorable! (The basket housed a floral arrangement from my sister in law when my grandma passed so it has extra special meaning)
And lastly we've been working on some landscaping. Wyatt was a huge helper and so excited about it!

Lazy Friday night

Reading on a Friday night doesn't get much cozier than this!!

PJ Hoffmaster - Part 4

We headed to the beach the last day we were there. It was another gorgeous day!

Thankful for some good company!

My family!!

The boys bought remote controlled boats in grand haven and we're having a blast playing with them.

The water was warm enough to use the boogie board!
Playing!

And monkeying around....
Me and my 9 year old!
We tried to get this butterfly to land on Owens arm but it wouldn't.

Me and my love!!

Look at this kid, where have the years gone.
Lunch time!

And back at the campground Wyatt found some more bugs to play with.

Owen bought a bike with his birthday money, and not just any bike....a gear bike! He's been so psyched to ride it. I took him one afternoon to the nature center. It was an all uphill ride. He did awesome and didn't give up once!

And I'll close up these posts with another family picture.

Stay beautiful Lake Michigan. We will see you soon!

PJ Hoffmaster Part 3

Every year we hike up mt. Baldie. It is a challenging hike with amazing views.

Here we are getting ready to go.

Finally out to the beach.
This is about 20 minutes into our hike. We have to go straight down and then straight up. Two years ago I grabbed a "tree root" to catch my balance but it turned out to be a snake. I'm not really sure why I keep climbing this beast after that experience....snakes are the worst!

But finally to the top and all of the doubts of why we do this dissipate. It is truly gorgeous.

Lake Michigan in the back.

This is our way down, we try our best not to fall flat on our faces, the boys on the other hand make that their mission and think it's hilarious !

Till next year Mt. baldie. Thanks for never disappointing us.

PJ Hoffmaster Part 2

Having some technical issues so here are just more pictures.

PJ Hoffmaster 2016 part 1

We headed to the west side of the state again to our annual pj hoffmaster trip. As always our trip was awesome. The weather was perfect and we were able to do everything on our list.

The first night there we hiked out to Lake Michigan. It's one of our favorite hikes.

Getting there is a little adventure.

With some cool stops along the way.

Almost there!

First sight of the lake is never disappointing.

Back at the campground Wyatt enjoyed collecting bugs this year.

And reading maps was his second favorite.

We celebrated both Father's Day and Owens birthday as they were both on the same day this year.

We went to Michigan Adventure and the day was perfect. 86 and sunny!!! So fun. Owen had a great birthday!

There was lots of this.

And less of this....thankfully my kids are good with just once a trip. We aren't really a big s'mores family.

And even though I wasn't on the beach, I still found this to be relaxing.

My sister and Wyatt were hooked on sudoku.

He's actually pretty good at it! Sweet boy!!

Thanks for stopping by!
